This is a blog where I would like to share my recipes and food-related stories.

I am no expert in cooking but I am trying to learn.  It is sometimes fun but can also be frustrating at other times particularly when things don't get the way I like. 

For many years I only cooked when I had time and wanted to. When I think of so many women who don't have the choice I feel so fortunate. Cooking when I am in good mood and preparing a dinner for friends (although a bit stressfull) is really great but cooking just because we need to feed ourselves is not that interesting.

I have been trying to make my own sourdough starter and make bread with it.  Not easy but not difficult either - just patience and perseverance. {21/03/2013: still trying hard!}
I am also trying to make "nice" macarons.  I would have never thought it would be so challenging. {note: I gave up!}

In other words I am not that good but take pleasure during the process even if the end result is not yet here.

I would like to share the recipes I like, have made, and will make again.  I hope my recipes will be clear and attractive enough so my readers will want to make them. Most of them are quite simple and don't require special skills.

Other posts will be about my cooking experiments, visits to wet markets...I might also share my views on food prepared by professionals (but again I am no expert - neither at cooking nor at writing) so I will do it in a leasurely manner.
